Jason served 21 years as a Navy SEAL completing five deployments and two combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Jason was severely wounded outside Fallujah, Iraq leading his team on a direct-action mission targeting a high value Al Qaeda leader. The team survived the devastating ambush only after calling a Close Air Support mission from an Air Force AC-130 Gunship directly on their position. It would become the closest fire mission executed in the entire Iraq war.
